Sometimes I feel like we just need a reminder of who it is exactly that we are serving and trusting in. It can feel like life gets on top of us and can be hard (last week was especially hard for me – but God reminded me of all He’s done in my life and with the help of great friends and my loving hubby … I was pulled out of my funk).
Today I’d like to share a prayer that the Holy Spirit laid on my heart. I’m in a time of waiting at present and I’ve been through a similar time before when I was waiting on God for Mr B’s salvation and for our marriage and then to get pregnant and have Prince Josiah.
Waiting is hard and it’s not fun … but I’m learning that in the process of waiting, it’s important to remind yourself of who God is and to let Him know that you remember all these great things about Him and declare to both God (and the devil – because you know he’s just waiting for you to give up and crumble… not gonna happen!) that your ultimate trust is in Him and that you’re giving God thanks and praise along this journey of waiting – praise Him in advance for all you know He’s going to do for you.
And if you haven’t signed up to the Morning Triumphs Prayers yet by Kemi Kems and I… do it now! Lol! I’ve put the link below to sign up.
Let us pray…
“The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad” (Psalm 118:24
Father I thank You for this new day and I come before You with a humble heart of gratitude. I have come to remind You Lord of Your great works and wonders. For You are the same God yesterday, today and forever more. You are the same God who parted the Red Sea that Your children may pass through safely. You’re the same God who confused the enemy camp and caused them to run and scatter and to leave their wealth and treasures behind for Your children… You’re the same God who opened the mouth of a donkey and caused it to speak so that Your people would not be cursed but blessed…the same God who made dry bones rise and created an army for the sake of your children… the same God who kept the oil flowing until the jars ran out… The same God who changed the chemical and physical component of a substance and turned water into wine…
Who healed the sick and broken hearted… Who multiplied an offfering of two loaves and five fish and fed 5000 … Who’s life was poured out for me on the cross… Whos body was broken, Whos blood was drained out…. that I may be made whole in You … and the very same awesome, majestic, wonderful God who defeated death and is risen and is seated on high in Heaven in glory… so that I can one day share in eternity with You.
Thank You Lord for parting every blocked situation in my life and for making a way for me. Thank You for confusing the enemy for my sake and promising me the wealth of the gentiles. For defying natural logic and for doing the impossible in order to orchestrate my blessings. For creating a supernatural army of Your heavenly host to surround me and to protect and fight for me. For keeping an outpouring of Your anointing to continuously flow over my life, my cup runs over and my jars shall never run out for You shall provide for all my needs until I have accomplished every good work that You have called me to in Jesus’ name.
Thank You Lord for defying and changing the very chemical elements that You yourself created, in order that I not be put to shame and that I may enjoy and rejoice and be glad and merry in You. For healing every component of sickness and disease in my body, mind, spirit and soul, for by Your stripes I am healed. For multiplying the little that I have to offer You and turning my life into a testimony that can bless generations. For making that ultimate sacrifice on the cross and rising on the third day, that I may one day rejoice and rise with You.
Father I thank You for ALL that You have done and I declare that all of the promises and blessings that You have planned for me, are secured today. May my faith in You be unwavering and may I forever have a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. I rejoice and am glad as I await the beauty of Your promises and Your wonderful handiwork to unfold in my life… just as You have done before … and still continue to do now.
